Do you have thousands of messages in your folders? I get this when 
moving into my in box, where I may have 20 thousand messages or so. I 
just click on the wait button and everything is fine.


If this is your problem, you could work around it by clearing out your 
folders. Alternatively, you could go into View -> Sort by -> Group by 
sort and everything will be collapsed into a couple of threads, today, 
yesterday, last week and so on.
