Alex,

Hello Edhoari,

I just test skype directly from web.skype.com and it just connect on first try. Btw, I have a few questions if you don't mind

 1. Using Firefox, I cannot make audio call. The button is disabled. How
    to enable it? I'm able to make audio call using google chrome but
    I'd rather use Firefox if possible.

Officially, it doesn't work on Firefox. The only way to make it working is to override the Firefox user-agent.
The steps to accomplish that are:
1) Open Firefox
2) Open about:config
3) Create a new key: contextual menu then new then string:
general.useragent.override et valider ;
4) Enter the Edge user agent:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.116 Safari/537.36 Edge/15.15063

 2. How to navigate chat history?

You could install pidgin-skype that supports Skype web chat messages, not call or video chat. You could download it from there: https://framadrop.org/r/UcwhfD7Rtv#MjAg4osfdg0GRbtECEirojgH4SWSXcpboXKuWudnhK0=

The connections is frequently failed using extension. Not sure why.

Without the extension, it always works on my tests.

Best regards,
Alex.
