I believe there is some work on a project based on flite called Microft. 
Kendell has brought it to my attention, and I need to look into whether its 
possible to take their TTS bits and use them from Speech Dispatcher. As for 
the android/libhybris stuff to use Google TTS, patches welcome, I'm not 
planning to go there any time soon. :)
