Re: [orca-list] I hate pulse

Hello,

I know pulseaudio had not very good reputation when it appeared some almost 10 years ago however since long time pulseaudio is really very stable.
I have configured speech-dispatcher to use pulseaudio. When orca becomes unresponsive or at-spi2-core crashes I can blindly run spd-say from a terminal to make sure the audio is working as it should.
Also when orca becomes unresponsive or at-spi2-core crashes other sounds such as bell character in the terminal play fine.

I am still getting crashes with stable version of at-spi2-core on arch linux however I haven't learned how to generate proper dumps yet so I haven't reported it my-self.

It's awesome it's now fixed.
Greetings

Peter

I'm not seeing it with at-spi 2.24.1 either, though I'm running gnome
3.24.x
