Aha. Gotcha. Is there a list of desired signs somewhere and where they
appear?
Thanks!

I don't mean underlining, I mean showing the proper braille signs for
the formatting. For example, there is a sign to show that text is
italicized in braille.

Hi Devin.
Orca has had the capability you describe for years and years. Are you
saying you enabled it and that it's broken?
The documentation can be found here:
https://help.gnome.org/users/orca/stable/preferences_text_attributes.html
As you will see in that documentation, you can select which text
attributes you want marked in braille and you can select which cell or
cells to use to underline attributes on the display. By default, no
underlining occurs.
Please let me know what your situation is. Thanks!

If Orca can be made to handle formatting info with braille, such as
italics and bold, that'd be great. NVDA supports it, so I'm hoping that,
with Liblouis, Orca can too. I'm not even sure if Orca can see italic
text though, in apps like Firefox.
