Re: [orca-list] What are the differences between Python 2.7 aand Python 3.3?

Hello,

I'm not aware of all the python 2.7 vs python 3.x differences however I think things that are mostly relevant here is string and unicode differences and some minor syntax differences. When looking at NVDA's brailleHandler module I think it's safe to borrow some code and exclode strings to unicode conversion and the other way round. I've also found more in depth article on the matter which obviously does not mention A11y specifically but is usefull nevertheless: http://sebastianraschka.com/Articles/2014_python_2_3_key_diff.html

Greetings

Peter

I';m looking at Orca and NVDA to see if I can help with Braille. NVDA is
written in Pyython 2.7 and Orca in Python 3.3. It would be helpful if
someone could give me a summary of the differences between the two.

Thanks,
