Sorry, no, I get what you mean. What I'm saying is that the current patch, as far as I recall, just picks out a few arbitrary frequencies and scales the beep between them. My point is that, whether we consciously know it or not, we're (at least in western countries) conditioned to hear and know octaves, even if subconsciously.
Anyhow, I've spent too much effort on silly beeps. Putting this down so I can actually work for a living. :)

So if final beep were 400hz., then beep alternating 300hz 400hz, 310hz
