By the way, I discovered that my problem with evince is that it doesn't 
know who I am. Evince uses something called apparmor which has 
configuration settings for identifying the user running a program. My 
problems with evnice will probably go away once I can figure that out.

Right now, I'm pretty ticked off that there even is this extra layer to 
deal with. Linux developers need to learn to KISS. Keep it simple, 
stupid. There are just way too many different levels of verything in linux.
