Re: [orca-list] Reporting full ancestry when navigating within Libreoffice calc document

Hello,

Thank you, this time I can comfortably work even with multiple Libreoffice documents.

It's a bit sad you do need to add loads of hackarounds but that's difficult to change.

Greetings

Peter

Hi again Peter.

I have good news and bad news.

reports full ancestry including window title and table info like in my
original report quite frequently.
This should be fixed. That's the good news. The bad news is that when
you open one more calc window, Calc fails to emit
object:state-changed:focused for the table and
object:active-descendant-changed for the cell. I tried to work around
the first of those two so that Orca would at least announce the
sheetname. It worked for the new window, but it had negative side
effects for single windows as well as for refocusing the window (e.g.
with Alt+Tab). So I reverted that change.

As a result, in those windows beyond the first one, initially Orca will
only speak the window title. But once you start arrowing, we seem to get
the correct events and Orca shouldn't report the full ancestry quite
frequently any more.

I need to file the bug against LibreOffice. In the meantime, please test
and see if things are better for you.

Thanks!
