Re: [orca-list] Some Orca features status

Howdy,

1. Will this utility be released someday? To be packaged instead of on
a git repo.
sure thing ;). currently storm rewrites the pluginmanager to be more mighty and powerfull. After that work is
finished i will release the version 1.00.

>> 2. Can I change default binding for default plugins?
sure thing again ;). the enabled plugins are located at
~/.config/SOPS/plugins-enabled
the settings like keybindings are a part of the filename (i.e. the pluginmanager):
plugin_manager__-__supressoutput__+__control__+__key_p.sh
supressoutput does advice the pluginloader to not read the STDOUT (because the pluginmanager is a UI and there should no STDoutput to read),
control is the control key
and key_p is just a p
just rename that to whatever you want
for example
plugin_manager__-__supressoutput__+__control__+__alt__+__key_v.sh
change the shortcut to ctrl + alt + v
anytime in future you will be able to change keys via the pluginmanager.
you can read about all that stuff in the wiki ( yes for real *smile* i wrote a documentation)
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Simple_Orca_Plugin_System

3. Will Orca use it or will be developped a core-tool in Orca, as
mentioned on the roadmap?

i dont think so. there no plans. its just a "fun" project. I m sure if anytime we get a offical plugin system
it will be more powerfull.

but is also not necessary, because its really simple to install and just works.

cheers chrys

With that you can add many things like battery status, wireless

Hi,

Could you tell me if the feature where Orca would speak the
battery status is implemented now? And what about the mouse
movements tunes?

Then, would you be interested in a patch so that Orca would speak
"Text copied to clipboard" "Text cut to clipboard" "Removed text"
"Text pasted from clipboard" while tysing ctrl-c, x, v? If yes,
we can start working on it.
