Re: [orca-list] Orca readmap?

Actually, it looks like pluma isn't using libpeas. Still, libpeas is a
small dependency and one used by other packages. Orca's other
dependencies are more "special" (i.e. for speech and braille) and other
desktop environments pull those in. So I continue to think that a
dependency on libpeas should not be a problem, and will make Orca much
more extensible by making it possible for anyone to make and distribute
plugins for Orca.

GSettings is already used by Orca and AT-SPI2 (to get/set accessibility

Libpeas is used by quite a few apps (e.g. It's in pluma, MATE's editor).
So it is my assumption that this also will not have any impact.

How will gsettings and libpeas support, in orca, impact fit with other

That said, there are periodically features that a few people want, but
are not widely wanted and/or are not something one would consider core
screen reader functionality. Those should be plugins which can then be
maintained outside of Orca. For that sort of thing we need to implement
libpeas support in Orca.
