I'm not sure how to get a system installed from the live dvd; my
comments refer to the network install. After doing a net install,
assuming you did the install with accessibility turned on, the
resulting system will come up with speakup enabled, and with your
chosen desktop. I think the display manager even comes up with a
talking login prompt. To get a Debian net install talking, hit 's',
and 'enter' on the boot prompt, which is present soon after your pc
speaker (assuming you have one) beeps. If you don't have this
speaker, just wait about 10 seconds after the system boots. After
some more waiting, speakup will start talking with a welcome message
and the first installation instruction.
