hi
Phew, at least the first one is a known issue, and will hopefully be
fixed soon
As for not responding while typing, the most reliable way I can
reproduce it is by typing very fast. I don't know my exact typing,
speed, but I estimate somewhere in the sixty to seventy words per
minute range. Orca will do fine at first, then start to lag, and
finally stop altogether. When it stops being able to announce
keystrokes, carrot navigation is also not possible until I either tab
away from and back, which will sometimes fix it, or close and re-open
orca, which usually fixes it, if only temporarily
I'll also add that navigating by word and line is noticeably slower
than in firefox, which is strange, since they presumably use gecko.
On a completely unrelated report, orca seems to have issues in webkit
controls, specifically yelp. Not big ones, but orca will sometimes
repeat the line you were just on while navigating by line, and will
sometimes not announce other lines.
These are probably completely unrelated, just thought I'd mention it
while it was on my mind
Thanks

Works fine here. It also fixes the issue with my router setup

Yay indeed. <smiles> As for the following:
While I'm here, would it please, please be possible to take a
look at thunderbird? It lags very badly while scrolling through
the list of emails,
That sounds like it might be what's described in:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=924915
And if that's indeed what you're experiencing, it's not something
I can fix in Orca. As you'll see in my opening report on that bug,
I was able to make Thunderbird go completely non-responsive for 5
seconds on a performant system without Orca running.
This next one on the other hand:
and while typing. It sometimes even stops responding when you
type. Ok, to be more clear, it still types, but orca stops
announcing new characters.
I'd like to know more about and look into. Is this something you
can reliably reproduce, and if so could you provide me with the
steps to do so?
Thanks! --joanie
