You can put OwnCloud on your own server, but there are also a couple of
free plans with providers that are using OwnCloud. The one that looks
the most promising from the list of providers is OwnDrive
https://owndrive.com/
which offers 5GB of free storage space, similar to the now defunct
Ubuntu One. Hope this helps.
