Re: [orca-list] Accessible online free service for storage

As far as Gogle Drive is concerned, the easiest way to access it is via the
Chrome browser and Chromevox.

In terms of accessibility, Dropbox seems to be beter than Google Drive. I
could list the files, but the navigation is not natural. Orca alerts when I
am over a menu, but when a menu tree is opened, the focus is lost.

I tried also to add files. At certain point, opening an empty folder, it was
announced: "Paste here a file". I copy something from my local directories
and with ctrl+v, I tried to paste the file in the current folder, but the
file was not added.

I come back to Dropbox. Yes, files can be found. Hoever, I was not able to
create new folders. At any point of structure, it's possible to find a link
called "new folder" or "new directory", I don't know how it is writen in
english interface.

This link can't be selected with shift+alt+k feature. Another characteristic
is that it can't be spelled. It's not so easy to reach the link, but after
doing it and press "enter" over it, nothing hapens. I was expecting a entry
box to type the folder name, but I couldn't release any modification.

Does someone know how to create new folders by means of Dropbox interface or
any other box interface?

All this operations are easily done with a client. However, I can't ask the
instalation of a client at work. The quantity of formal explanations to get
an instalation is very high. It's not enough to show that I am writing about
my work experiences, so it's natural that I find some material for my
articles and desires to store it at Dropbox or Google Drive.

Linux has excelents clients for both. At home, I can use it. But at work, I
don't know what to do. I can use pendrives to bring it to home and, here,
organize the files at the drive, but with the procedure, I lose the correct
moment to execute this task.

The project is to write some articles about planning, project
management and other related subjects. It's not directly linked to
system development. The control of versions is not critical, so what I
need is more a drive than a control system.

Listening to the manual gently sent by Derek, I could list and
navigate in google Drive. I don't finish the lestening, but now I will
try to create folders and subfolders, add, remove and download files
and share folders with another friend, everything with the google
interface.

At the workplace, I won't have a client, so I need to be able to do
everything by web interface.

Dropbox is also under evaluation. I can easily search and download the
files, but I don't know how to add, update and remove files and
folders.

Hello all,

I need to share files by virtue of a project. So I want to choose a
online free service for storage.

The question is: which of then are accessible?

I am really not sure, but Dropbox does not seem to be the best option.
Actually, I don't want to synchronize files, but only to store and
share.

Firstly, I thought Microsoft Skydrive will be my choice. I can create
a group for the project and store files in its Skydrive. However,
recently, the accessibility seemed to be worst.

I try also to use Gmail, but I couldn't understand how to create
folders, place files and do other operations. Google Drive seems to
be not accessible.

So, regarding that I use Orca at home and JAWS at work, which service
do you advise me if I want to share a library of files? I don't want
a service only to download files. It's not something like SendSpace.
the ideia is a permanent drive where files is uploaded for future visits.

I use Ubuntu 13.10 and Orca 3.10.1.
