Before you begin with Fedora though, please be advised that it is not Unix.
It is Linux. If you want Unix, try FreeBSD or Open Indiana or something
like that. Linux is similar to Unix but it is a different thing. You might
call it Unix's unacknowledged child. Haha

Peter's correct about the keys to bring up Orca.
On my machine, anyway, the volume is low when Orca starts. I was able to
hit the super key, type the word sound and hit enter, then arrow down to
raise the volume. When it was loud enough, I did shift-tab to the close
button and hit enter again.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
Fedora 20 has orca available on a live media I think. So I think you can
just use alt+super+s to start it up as soon as GDM login screen appears or
after logging into gnome 3.10.
You have to start it seperatelly for each user after logging in.
Greetings
Peter

Hi All,
I am a newbie to the unix.
I am in need of exploring the unix environment.
My friend who is going to teach me Unix is suggesting for Fedora.
I would like to know is Orca compatible with Fedora and how to install
Orca in Fedora.
Currently, I am planning to start Fedora on VMware.
Thanks & Regards,
