Re: [orca-list] icedove

Seamonkey e-mail works quite well in Linux, and it even somehow works better than Thunderbird here. It still has its moments of speech hanging and such, especially if it's been running for a long time, but not to the extent that I've experienced with Thunderbird. The fact that it doesn't work in Windows with NVDA doesn't in any way detract from its superior performance on Linux, so this is certainly not a dealbreaker for me, and I won't hesitate to recommend it to other Linux users. Something like this would only affect people who want to use both operating systems with the same software, which can be problematic at times for various applications. On the same note, Firefox as far as I know still isn't usable with speech on OSX, so I don't see how this is a problem or keeps Seamonkey from being a viable replacement for Thunderbird and/or Firefox or any of their free forks.
