I agree. That is why that is the default.

What I am really wanting to know is about what should happen with quick
keys / structural navigation. In other words, If you press "e," should
Orca automatically change to focus mode by default?

Currently, if you press "e" Orca automatically changes to focus mode by
default. This is a configurable setting. (I'll add it to the GUI by
Monday I think.) Before I add it to the GUI or document it, I am
interested in hearing what people think the default for keys like "e"
should be.
