Boot up your Talking Arch installer again, mount your installed system
and arch-chroot into it. Then just run
alsactl store
and all should be well there. Now type
echo speakup > /etc/modules-load.d/speakup.conf
echo speakup_soft >> /etc/modules-load.d/speakup.conf
And you should be good to go for the speakup modules. The last thing you
should need to run is
systemctl enable espeakup.service
If you get any errors running this command, reboot without the install
media and wait about 30 seconds to login as root. Then type
systemctl enable espeakup.service
and reboot again. Your system should now come up talking. Hope this helps.
