Hi Jakob.
Probably you do not need to rebuild speech-dispatcher because arch 
preserves the previous versions of the package in your machine when it 
is updated.
The packages are kept in the /var/cache/pacman/pkg
 directory. In this directory I found 
speech-dispatcher-0.8-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz and 
speech-dispatcher-0.7.1-7-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz.

To install version 7 of speech-dispatcher I do the following command:

sudo pacman -U speech-dispatcher-0.7.1-7-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
