Have you tried Festival?  They might have a Dutch voice.  Too bad you can't
get Nuance in Linux.  They have two or three Flemish voices and another 2 or
3 Nedelans ones.  

Too bad about Mbrola though.

It is a pity for not to have another Dutch voice than espeak. For me the
Dutch voice of espeak is OK. So I am very happy with Orca and espeak.

Hi Milton,

As far as I know you can not change the rate,pitch, and volume of the 
MBrola voices. I had this same problem when i tried getting them 
working with Orca a while back, and never could find a way to change 
the rate,pitch, and volume so gave up on those voices.
