Re: [orca-list] Announcing Orca v3.7.5

hi
Please consider my problem solved. I deleted my orca settings and recreated them. Firefox now works. Sorry for the inconvenience. And thanks orca devs for the great work.

Just updated at-spi2-core at-spi2-atk and atk to 2.7.5, and firefox is still a no go.

I am not sure if this is the problem, but I am running version 2.7.5 of atk, at-spi2-atk and at-spi2-core.
No problems here with firefox.

Did you run orca in debug mode? Perhaps this may provide some clue about the problem.
To run orca in debug mode you can try the following command:
orca --replace --debug-file=orca.debug.out

hi
I've gotten orca v3.7.5 and speech-dispatcher 0.8-beta1 installed in arch.
IT works flawlessly over all, but I cannot get orca to see or interact
with firefox whatsoever. It works with thunderbird, but not firefox.
Examining logs reveals only, **orca, no running window found. NO
tracebacks, no feedback. I'm stumped.
Can anyone help? THe only problem I can see is the transition between
python 2 and python 3, but not sure.

Try orca-git from the AUR

hi
Is it at all possible to compile this in arch? I'm hesitant to try
this because I don't know if there are dependency changes that would prevent it from building. I'd also like to use this in vinux, but the
default ubuntu repos don't include it. Is it possible to build from
source?
The reason I'm not sure is because orca previously used python 2, but
now it's using python 3, I think... (I'm confused.)
Thanks
