Re: [orca-list] sonar now using lxde

Hello,
I have actually tried to run i386 build inside a virtual box VM.
It boots fine and orca starts right away.
Orca main window and also other orca dialogs such as the oneorca preferences shown after hitting orca+space appear to be inaccessible. Desktop is not accessible while trieng to tab around or navigate using arrow keys I am getting no feetback at all. I even dont know if it is possible to get into the context menu.
alt+F1 menu works fine.
All apps I have tried seem to carry their accessibility support from other enviromments I have just tried firefox, transmission and some of the system tools and preferences apps.
The alt+F2 run dialog is also accessible.
From my initial testing it appears that the terminal is also working fine, I havent been able to reproduce the issue where keys pass through while reviewing text in the terminal window.

I have just tested it briefly.
I must say I am unable to take this for daily usage because absolutelly no feetback on the desktop.

Thanks for allowing us to explore this. I am looking for future enhancements.

Greetings

Peter

Hello,
I dont want to sound harsh however since you are unable to correct this
in the mean time you might like to pull that file off then.
Because as it is the 64 bit build is of no use to anyone. Remember
internet costs a lot in some countries and once someone downloads a 500
MB file just to find out this file is broken and increase his monthly
bill he may be discouraged to download further updates.

Sorry for negative comments I do really appreciate what you are doing
this is just a minor thing.

Greetings

Peter

Actually I am a bit afraid the file is not uploaded correctly.

And I was able to verify it by mounting the iso, cd-ing to its top
level directory and checking md5 sums as follows:
md5sum -c md5sum.txt
the result is that the bunch of files is missing.

Jonathan can you please kindly reupload 64 bit image if possible?

Greetings

Peter
