There is a new version of Sonar using lxde as a desktop. This is a beta release so it is not perfect yet but it is usable. Notes before installing
When you boot into the live session before installing you will have to press alt f2 and type nautilus This will bring you to the home folder. Then go to the desktop folder and you will see the installation file press enter on it and you can start the installation from here.
After installing then press alt f2 and type gnome-tweak-tool Then press tab and arrow up to desktop and you can then put icons on the desktop for home,computer and trash.
The network applet isn't accessible so you will have to go to preferences and go to network connections and manually set up your network.
