Hy Peter,

Unfortunately now Orca not have an option to you toggle this method 
on/off. The problem is following:
Orca when send text with Liblouis, use compbrl mode the lou_translate 
method. This method resulting if you highlight a word, the cursor 
highlighted wort are presenting always computer braille.
I reported this issue since 2011 may and attach patches to resolve this 
issue, but unfortunately the patches doesn't reviewed yet:

Because already have UI freeze, I think not have to chance commit the 
attached patches in Orca next stable version. Only have one possibility, 
if temporary not have GUI setting the new braille related setting.

The good news:
If the patches future will be accept developers, in Orca preferences 
dialog will be have a check box in braille page, and you possible 
toggling how can you would like present the cursor highlighted word.
If you uncheck future the present cursor highlighted word with computer 
braille check box (the check box label possible will be change), the 
cursor highlighted word will be present grade2 too, not computer braille.
I already usethe orca-xdesktop compatible patch my daily work.
