Re: [orca-list] Ubuntu 11.10 & Gnome

Lucid is for the long term releases. There is a vinux 3.1 release
based on Maverick and a 3.2 one based on Natty. There is work being
done on a 3.3 based on Oneiric with Unity which will help set the
ground work for accessibility fixes that will impact everyone in 12.04
precise. Please double check your facts before making such
statements. A quick trip to the vinux site and its download page
would've sufficed to show you that Vinux didn't just stop at Lucid.

Alex M

I wonder when that might be, Vinux is still using 10.04, they never even
went to 10.10.

I'd imagine eventually the guys over on the Vinux project will get
around to doing something like this as they are pretty good about
overhalling Ubuntu and adding accessible packages and removing
inaccessible ones while having all the accessibility features enabled
by default.

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone is planning on building a new version of Ubuntu
with Gnome instead of Unity, so we can get the benefit of the latest
Ubuntu.
I'd rather not have to do that myself.
