Re: [orca-list] Installing gnome and switching from unity to gnome3 in Ubuntu 11.10 and 12.04?

Onh dave,
I could do do that, but I am already customising a lot of things off and on the computer to suit me.
So time is the only issue, which I can't hack.
Happy hacking.

With all this 'happy hacking' on your messages, I'd have thought
you'd have rewritten the desktop to suit you.

Meaning no shortcuts anyhow.
Unity 2d is a lot better because at least I can customise the launcher with the apps we frequently need
and have a shortcut from each.

Hi,

Nope. You can't add a launcher to the desktop in Gnome Classic. The
only use for the desktop these days is just to display someone's
background image or wallpaper. Although, it looks like you can
create folders on the desktop.

happen in older gnome2.
