Re: [orca-list] orca and thunderbird

I just use the message preview and the F6 key takes me right to the top
of the message. I'm running Thunderbird 3.1.13 and Orca 3.1.9.

Hi Deedra.
What command do you use to read the current line?
I use the basic where am operation, in my machine bounded to OrcaKey+enter.
It works OK for me.

Regarding the second problem in which you need to press tab to read the
e-mail, you can try configure orca to automaticaly start speaking a page
when it is first loaded.
Try the following:
1: Open thunderbird.
2: Press OrcaKey+ctrl+space.
3: Find a page called thunderbird.
4: Find an option called automatically speaking a page when it is first
loaded.
5: Check the option and save.

What version of orca are you using?
Thanks.

Ok, so a couple questions here.

Orca doesn't read the current line when i tell it to in thunderbird.
Instead, it reads the menue bar. Is there a way around this? ideally i'd
rather not have to arrow up and back down to read my current line.

Also, it would be kind of nice if you didn't have to hit enter then tab
to read an email, it seems as though it'd be more ideal if focus just
jumped to the email's text.
