Once in a very blue moon, I've been able to get the rename dialog to
come up (I think within an icon view) but I generally do not like icon
view and I don't think I have ever gotten it to work with list view
since GNOME 3 came out.  Anyone else have issues with this.  To me,
this seems like a serious bug if I can't rename files in GNOME.  I did
manage to rename files by opening up the properties dialog and over
type the file name but why doesn't rename work anymore?  I too use
Arch and this used to always work with good ol' GNOME 2.  

While I'm at it, I think I would like to find something better than
Nautilus.  It takes nearly five minutes for a list of 500 files to be
displayed and for Orca to speak them.  Anyone know of a better file
browser?
