That is good news indeed.  In the meantime, one could remap the table
navigation keys to ones that don't use the alt+shift combinations like
Window-Eyes does.  Maybe I could use Orca+Arrow keys if they aren't
already taken.

Are these fixed committed in the gnome-e-0 branch?
