Re: [orca-list] several orca/gnome type questions

I can't answer all of your questions, and I probably have more questions
than answers anyway.

How do you copy/paste with orca/gnome? I've yet to figure this out and
it's starting to get seriously frustrating.

copy paste in Gnome seems to work just like it does in Windows, e.g.
shift+up-or-dow-arrow to highlight lines, shift+left-or-right-arrow to
highlight characters, control+shift+left-or-right-arrows to highlight
words and so on. Once your text is selected, control+c to copy,
control+x to cut and control+v to paste. The only real challenge with
Orca is that depending on the application where you're doing the
highlighting, you don't always get notified when highlighting text. I
either just keep track of how much I need to highlight, usually
highlighting more than I'll need to make sure I got everything, or using
orca+r to read what's in the clip board. Note that orca+r may be a
script in vinux and may not be part of stock Orca.

I just noticed you're running Gnome 3, so I'm not sure if what I said
above applies. Did this work for you in Gnone 2? What version of Orca
are you using? What applications are you trying to cut/copy from?

I had some major issues getting evolution to work period. It keeps
claiming no route to host when it claims to try to connect to my mail
server however, my husband said it's not even sending anything to the
mail server in question, any way to fix this?

I've had no problem using Evolution with Gmail IMAP or my companies IMAP
server. What email server are you trying to reach? Are you having any
other network issues? Obviously, I'd suggest double checking your
client's settings and make sure they agree with the settings required by
your server.
