i have that, or a similar puzzle also, Sometimes orca starts automatically,
 and sometimes I have to alt plus f two, and type orca and then enter.
and nothing that i can  note has changed during/between  the sessions.  
I still puzzling and trying to note.
This happened with ubuntu 8.10, and still with vinux/ubuntu 10.04.    wil
