Hi Luciano ,
This could be the fact that you may not be running Orca's latest
version. Try grabbing the latest atk, at-spi and orca from git and
there may be a noticeable difference. I know there was a few patches
implemented a couple months ago to improve Orca's performance, but
haven't tried them.

Well the mentioned bug isn't really new. I agree with joanie that the
problem must be fixed outside of orca for a clean solution.
Please note: Performance issues will be the most ciritical ones after
at-spi-dbus switch.
My last tests showed many problems in that area.
