Well, without doing some proper performance analysis and further
investigation, it's hard to say if you're off-track or not. However, as
can be seen in this Atk bug report [1] this problem is present even if
Orca is not running. Simply having AT support enabled is sufficient.
Trying to address the issues which are outside of Orca, outside of Orca
is of course preferable when doing so is possible.
