Hi Jacob, all.
There seem to be all sorts of fun things taking place with Firefox 3.6.
I'm slowly but surely working out what they are and trying to address
them. What I'd ask that you all do, for weird Firefox 3.6 behavior that
is related to caret navigation, is add it as a comment to the following
bug: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=608149
While we normally would prefer one bug per issue, at this point I'd like
to get the big picture on the change(s). For me personally, that's
easier to do if it's all on one page.
As for this:
Can anyone else confirm this? I've half a mind to write to Mozilla and
ask them in no uncertain terms just what the heck they've done to Gecko.
Part of me is totally with you. <smile> The rest of me realizes that
what could be taking place isn't Mozilla breaking things, but rather
Mozilla changing things in a fashion we were not expecting. We're
working with the Mozilla a11y guys to see if they can start using Orca's
regression test suite for Firefox to help identify these sorts of things
well before they can impact users.
Take care.
