I didn't even know there was a 3.6.1 version out to the public. From
what I experienced with the "rolling updates" concept employed by Arch
Linux, I never saw that version come down the pipe. Now I might have
missed a day of update checks so maybe that version was short lived or
the package maintainers for Arch's Firefox might have intentionally
skipped it; I have no idea.

You, sir, are a saint. :-) That sort of thing helps tons! Especially if
this proves to be a Firefox bug (as opposed to a Firefox change we were
not counting on). In my experience, the closer I can come to specifying
exactly when something broke in Gecko, the faster the Mozilla team fixes
it.
