Awesome, then you should have the primary fix already. What you're
trying to apply now is an old patch that was committed and then reversed
due to a side effect. It was then replaced with the correct patch which
is not compatible with the one you are trying to apply -- but should not
apply anyway because of the side effect. <smile> Long way of saying, if
you are using speechdispatcher, please just try master with no patches.

Having said that, I have attached one patch to that bug which makes a
change only in Gecko.py. If you use gnome-speech, that patch (not yet in
master) should be applied.
