[orca-list] applications refusing to launch

would i be better downloading a fresh ubuntu lucid cd and doing a 
fresh install due to applications sometimes refusing to lauch or 
they launch but for some reason orca isn't reading them.
for example i might have transmission open but when i try to 
launch firefox, i get orca saying "application" and firefox does 
not appear to launch so the only thing i can do is press alt 
fbled and go back to transmision.
this problem seems to be occurring in lucid and i am wondering if 
it is something to do with the thing of pressing space before 
doing the enter, f5, 3 and enter twice to get to the installer 
when running the live cd and whether a fresh burned copy of lucid 
might resolve this issue which i have?
