Re: [orca-list] arch linux

I tried to get it done on Monday but I hit a few surprises. I will have another go this afternoon. I did post a few quick instructions to this list for those who really want to get going with gnome. I will try and set recording the gnome podcast as a priority as I will have a week where I will be away coming up.

Has the podcast on installing gnome into it been recorded? I'm finding with the Ubuntu VM that the speech just locks dead. I think I tried GRML in VM Player and just got corrupt sounding audio. The only other real machine I have is a Macbook, will it install on there if I shrink the partition for OSX?

Subject: [orca-list] arch linux

Hello,
As there's been a lot of arch traffic here lately, i was wondering if
anyone was having issues with completing the install using the speakup
modified CD? I try and at different points during the download of
packages the process seems to freeze. This is with multiple mirrors, I
am in the U.S. though.
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks.
Dave.
