Hi,
Debian is a great (stable) disribution.
always using latest version of software gives not more stability look at (ubuntu)?
In near future one or two weeks you can use debian unstable for latest gnome
stuff.
you can also use garnome to build gnome on your system.
Then you can use always the newest versions of the packages!
Just my 2 cents.
