Re: [orca-list] setting up thunderbird



In the directory where you unpacked thunderbird there should be a file named thunderbird just run that. On my system I unpacked thunderbird to /thunderbird so for an absolute execution path I run:
/thunderbird/thunderbird
If it still fails to load, may be try launching it in a gnome-terminal, does anything get output to the terminal?
