Hi, change to the folder where you have uncompressed thunderbird and
type thun. hit enter and it should start without problem. However, if
it is not starting, I guess you may be using 64-bit linux in which
case thunderbird may create problems.

i have uncompressed the file.
however i can't seem to be able to find an executable to run it.
all i seem to be able to find are things like shell scripts.
there was a thunderbirdddexe as a binary but entering on it
seemed to have no effect.
what am i doing wrong?
