Re: [orca-list] Flat Review Broken in Gedit

Hi Steve:

A double press of Insert+KP_Enter will read the status bar information, and it doesn't require the flat review code to do so.

Hope this helps,

Will

Wow, it actually does that? I would think Flat review would route to
current cursor location before doing that. In this present condition,
flat review is useless with very large files. In fact, I couldn't
even look at the status line to confirm things like line number insert
toggle or any of that. I guess I better get learning python then.

It's almost like flat review is scrolling through the entire file to
get to the current line or something.
You are correct. It is. If someone wants to take a look at flat_review.py:splitTextIntoZones and develop a more efficient algorithm, they are welcome to do so. :-)
