hmmm, we will have to waite for kde to pickup on accessibility, but as
far as I am aware, KDE hackers are not at all serious about
accessibility, although some initiation has been made.

can some one provide details on that?
does it help to edit sound tracks etc?

A possible exception is snd, which is highly configurable as it includes a
Scheme interpreter. You might be able to write scripts that improve access.

At the console we have ecasound, a very versatile tool.
