Re: [orca-list] Question about Global Key Assignment

I probably can't help much with the gs_ settings, as I don't know what
those do, but for your media player keys, the best program I know of is
audacious. It has a global hotkey plugin that can control much of its
functionality. Just install audacious, audacious-plugins and
audacious-plugins-extra. Then start audacious, open the preferences
window by typing
audtool preferences-show
from a terminal and arrow down to plugins. Go to the general page and
check the global hotkey plugin. Then click preferences and set the keys
there by tabbing to each function and pressing the key you want to use.
It's that simple and ïexactly the functionality I have been looking for
since I left Windows for Linux.
