Jon,
Thanks for looking into this.
So we have a web page with suspect coding, and my machine is more
sluggish than yours. Maybe I'm due for a hardware upgrade.
Thanks again.

I dont seem to see the delay that you are experiencing for the minefield
page.
www.barnstablearc.org on the other hand, i am getting approximately 4
second delay between hitting h and before im being jumped to the
heading.
although it doesnt seem to be just a heading problem. using orcakey+tab
everything is fine until we come to the login button, pressing
orcakey+tab again, takes again aprox 4 seconds before we get to the call
sign searchbox. if we tab once to get out of the textbox, and if we
press h we have no issues getting to the heading.
I thought i should have a look at the markup, and saw that they clame to
be xml transitional, so decided to put it through a validator, and the
webpage was not found to be compliant.
used: http://www.validome.org/
There is a random </head> tag sitting on line 123 of the source output,
validome didnt seem to have mensioned it in its error report. I think
Orca would most likely work fine if they made sure their code wasnt so
broken.
gnome 2.22, (orca rev3682 and trunk at-spi)
(issues also seen with orca rev3647 (before collection gecko searches
were introduced)

Hello again,
I tried my header navigation experiement on the minefield homepage with
more favorable results.
The slowest seemed to be about two seconds when "wrapping to top".
The site where I had the long delays is;
www.barnstablearc.org
Thanks for all you responses.
