But it doesn't follow that the end user has to rebuild the kernel.
Speakup patched kernels are available for several Linux distributions.
Then, there's the real solution. Let's just get it in the Linux kernel
and be done with these kinds of objections. After all, the same could be
said, and once was, for everything from alsa to wireless device drivers.
