Hello Fabrizio,

1 - I boot my system and log in as a normal user. Orca starts working
and Espeak starts speaking.
2 - I type alt+f2 to open the "run application" window, and I type
gnomr-terminal to open a terminal window.
3 - IN order to launch brltty, I type:
sudo su
password
/bin/brltty -bal -d/dev/ttyS0
Brltty starts, but a few second later, the Braille display shows the
"screen not in text mode" message, and stops working.
Brltty only works in text mode terminals, but gnome-terminal runs in a
graphical environment. You can switch on a text console by pressing
ctrl+alt+f1 to switch to the first text console.
Orca is also able to do braille output through brltty's braille
API. Therefore you need to start brltty before orca and activate braille
output in your orca configuration.
cheers
Henning
