Hello, this is really strange that a directory disappears after reboot.
 How is your /var mounted?

krishnakant, Could it be that you are using the SD packages for Debian
unstable under Feisty? this is asking for trouble if you do not know
exactly what you are doing! Better wait for backports to become
available.

On Feisty, /var/run is mounted as tmpfs, thus
 the transiet nature of its contents.
