Re: [orca-list] Getting orca to speak

I think I know the problem, but I'm not sure. My computer is a 64 bit.
However, the image that I burned on to a cd is a 32 bit version. Could that
be the problem? Is it possible to run a 32 bit version of ubuntu even though
my computer is a 64?

Thanks

Thanks. What should I do with the file after I download it? Do
I have to burn it on to a cd and then boot it up or something?

Thanks

Hi Leonid,
which Feisty did you test?
Till a few days ago there seemed to be a bug in Feisty, so that Orca didn't
work correctly.
I recommend to use the very latest Feisty:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/feisty-desktop-i386.iso
Note: If you're running a 64 bit machine, replace "i386" by "amd64".
Do you hear the startup music?
Regards
hermann
